As part of the local celebrations for Armed Forces Day, Colonel Taylor will present an illustrated talk at the Phoenix Theatre about the formation of the Herefordshire Regiment as part of the Territorial Force in 1908 and its experiences up until its evacuation from Suvla Bay, Gallipoli in December 1915.

Colonel Taylor is the Honorary Curator of The Herefordshire Light Infantry Museum, he has been researching the Regiment for 40 years and his grandfather served in the Regiment during the First World War, his father served in the Herefordshire Regiment Home Guard in Ledbury in World War two and he was first Commissioned into the Herefordshire Light Infantry Cadet Battalion.
