FREE Half Term Activities for February 2026 in Ross-on-Wye

Free activities during February Half Term 2026

Ross Town Council is delighted to announce a programme of FREE creative activities for children and families taking place during the February half term holiday.

Throughout the week, families are invited to come along to the Larruperz Centre, HR9 7QD, and enjoy a morning of arts and crafts in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The sessions will be led by Sarah from The Art Studio Ross, offering a range of creative activities designed to inspire children and encourage imagination.

Each session will last two hours and you are welcome to drop in or stay for the full session. Parents or carers are expected to remain with their children for the duration. Parents are also very welcome to join in and take part in the activities if they wish.

The activities will be themed around Ross in Bloom, with children contributing to a small amount of collaborative artwork that will be used within the town’s In Bloom projects, alongside items they can take home.

Session dates and times:

  • Monday 16th February, 10.00am – 12.00 noon
Paint wooden shapes for decorative bunting. Colouring table for zines
  • Wednesday 18th February, 10.00am – 12.00 noon
Making story stones using story books for inspiration. Paint cardboard shapes for bunting and colouring table
  • Friday 20th February, 10.00am – 12.00 noon
Make recycled flowers. Paint wooden shapes for decorative bunting.  Making story stones.

Theses free drop in sessions provide a great opportunity for families to spend time together, get creative during the school holidays and support local community projects.

This activity has been made possible through an award from the Small Sparks Fund.  This Fund, distributed by the Herefordshire Community Foundation, has been awarded from funding received by Herefordshire Council as part of the UK Shared prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
