Warming Ross this winter
8 December 2022

Ross-on-Wye Town Council, in conjunction with the Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust and other local voluntary organisations, is promoting a range of venues where local residents can visit this winter to keep warm, have a cup of tea or bowl of soup.
The current cost of living crisis has prompted many communities to react in a similar way and hundreds of venues across the UK are opening their doors to people who may be struggling with their electricity and gas bills this winter. In Ross town centre, the following local organisations are very kindly offering a warm space for people to visit this winter including:
- Ross Library, 7 Cantilupe Road HR9 7AN
- St Mary’s Church, Church Street HR9 5HN
- The Larruperz Centre, Grammar School Close HR9 7QD
- The Venue, Hill Street HR9 7AB
- Tudorville Community Centre, 6 Walford Avenue HR9 5PZ
- Zero Waste Stall, 29 Old Gloucester Road HR9 5AA
The following timetable details where and when people can pop in and have a chat in the warm or just enjoy a space to read quietly during the day. Further details can be found on the Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust’s website at https://rosscdt.org.uk/warmross:

If you have a couple of hours a week to volunteer or help out at any of the ‘warm venues’ this winter, please contact the Ross CDT on 01989 313002 (leave a message and someone will call you back) or email warmross@rosscdt.org.uk.
