Upcoming resurfacing works on Walford Road

Road closed and diversion sign

Balfour Beatty will be carrying out resurfacing works on the B4234, Walford Road, Ross-on-Wye, with a road closure in place.

Works will be taking place under a road closure, from the evening of Wednesday 13th September 2023 until the morning of Wednesday 20th September 2023. The road will be closed between 6pm and 2am each night. The road will remain open as normal on Saturday and Sunday nights.

The fully signed diversion route will be via the B4234 Kerne Bridge / B4229 Whitchurch / A4137 Whitchurch / A40 / Wilton Road / High Street / Copse Cross Street and vice versa. (Please see below map)

A spokesperson said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. At Balfour Beatty we work in partnership with Herefordshire Council to minimise the impact of our work and try to keep all disruption to a minimum – we appreciate your patience.

“The programme of work may change in certain circumstances, such as bad weather. This may happen at short notice and without further notification.
