Upcoming National Grid work on Gloucester Road

National Grid will be carrying out work on Gloucester Road and Hill Street during October which will result in road closures.
22/10/2023-25/10/2023
Between the hours of 7pm-6am – Road closure Gloucester Road to trench 2 x HV cables from Hill Street to footpath opposite no 34 Gloucester Road. Road to be opened by 6AM each day
24/10/2023-30/10/2023
Start date of this will be dependent on the completion of the above notice. Road closure in place on Hill Street and Corpus Christi Lane between the hours of 9am-5pm to install 2 x HV cables as per attachment. Road re-opened to allow access to businesses and residents by 5pm each day. If required, emergency vehicle access will be allowed to maintain public safety.

Footpath closure between 34 Gloucester Road and Dominos pizza. Closure in place to install the joints to energise the 11kv cables and new substation. Access to shop frontages to be maintained at all time. Pedestrian footpath to be diverted into loading bays which will be closed for the time of the footpath closures.
