Upcoming footpath resurfacing works on Alton Road – road closure will be in place

Balfour Beatty will be carrying out footpath resurfacing works on Alton Road, Ross-on-Wye with a road closure in place while the works are carried out.
Works will be taking place under a road closure, from Monday 11th September 2023 to (and including) Tuesday 12th September 2023. The road will be closed between 9am and 5pm each week day.
The fully signed diversion route will be via Penyard Lane, The Gresleys, Merrivale Lane and vice versa. (Please see map below)
Balfour Beatty will do all they can to provide access to properties, although there may be times when works are directly outside your property and they are not able to do so safely or there may be delays. You can get help and guidance from the dedicated Marshalls on site.
A spokesperson said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. At Balfour Beatty we work in partnership with Herefordshire Council to minimise the impact of our work and try to keep all disruption to a minimum – we appreciate your patience.
“The programme of work may change in certain circumstances, such as bad weather. This may happen at short notice and without further notification.
