Thousands enjoy the 2024 Ross-on-Wye Christmas Fayre
5 December 2024

Thousands of people visited the Christmas Fayre on Sunday 1st December to enjoy the festivities put on at the event organised by Ross-on-Wye Town Council.
As well as 85 stall holders, visitors enjoyed live music from the Border Belles, The Penyard Singers, Ross Town Band, Noah Rawlings and Jodie Lauren Music, street entertainment in the form of festive dinosaurs – who had a ‘roarsome’ time, Jack Skellington and Sally – who luckily didn’t try to steal Christmas! A huge snow globe, Santa’s grotto – run by EnviroAbility and face painting. Plus not forgetting the official switch on of the town’s Christmas lights – which this year were turned on by Charlie Bowden and Tom Dudziec – two extremely worthy switch on stars!
Charlotte Reynolds, Ross-on-Wye Town Council’s Deputy Town Clerk, said: “It is fantastic to see the huge popularity of our Christmas Fayre and the growth of the event that takes place every year. It is wonderful to hear how much attendees and stall holders enjoy the day.”
Ross-on-Wye Town Council would like to thank event sponsors, Taylor Wimpey, REHAU, Dawleys and HCR Law, as well as Ben Abbott – our fantastic compere, AP Stage Solutions, Scaffolding 2000, Community First Responders, Caple Security, Steve Oakey, The Venue, Raptor’s World, Oddle Entertainment, Big Foot Events, Looby Lou, Jodie Lauren Music, Noah Rawlings, Ross Town Band, Border Belles, The Penyard Singers, our Town Crier and EnviroAbility. To the wonderful volunteers – events like this would not happen without you! A huge thank you to all the stall holders and shop keepers for supporting this event. And finally, a special thank you to Charlie and Tom for agreeing to turn on the town lights and for sharing this special moment with thousands of people.
