Mayor’s Quiz Night raises over £1000 for charity

On Saturday 26th March the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Cllr John Winder, held a Quiz Night at the Sports Centre to raise funds for his charity of the year, EnviroAbility.
The evening was a huge success with over 70 people in attendance who were all in full competitive spirit with the Mayor as Quiz Master. As well as the quiz, a raffle also took place with some fabulous prizes kindly donated by local business including vouchers to spend at Hanks’ Meat and Game, Peter Hickman and Lizzie Bunting, hamper from Morrisons and a Brewery tour and gifts from The Bespoke Brewery Co. Quiz goers also enjoyed a fish and chip supper from Seven Seas.
The evening raised almost £1400 for EnviroAbility. The Mayor said: “A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped to raise a fantastic amount for EnviroAbility.”
