17/8/21: Launch of Armed Forces & Veterans’ Breakfast Club

Ross-on-Wye Town Council’s Community, Markets & Tourism Sub Committee (RTC CM&T) has agreed to facilitate the forming of a Ross-on-Wye Armed Forces & Veterans’ Breakfast Club at The Royal Hotel on Wednesday 25 August 2021 at 10am, with further meetings taking place at the same time and venue every fourth Wednesday, every other month.
Membership is free and open to all members of the Armed Forces Community and it is intended to provide a forum where members can meet to foster friendships, offer mutual support and interact with one another.
The goal of the RTC CM&T in facilitating this group is to support members of the Armed Forces Community, particularly those having difficulty transitioning into civilian life or obtaining employment. Their aim is to assist them in attaining support by providing links to appropriate organisations and those businesses within the town that are signatories of the Armed Force Covenant.
RTC CM&T have agreed to fund the first two meetings with a review for additional funding at their September meeting.
Future Armed Forces & Veterans’ Breakfast Clubs in 2021 will take place on Wednesday 27 October and Wednesday 22 December.
