Historic Town Centre Fingerposts Available as Refurbishment Project Reaches Final Stage
20 August 2026
Phase 2 of the Ross-on-Wye Town Centre wayfinding refurbishment project is now underway. Posts refurbished in phase 1 now sport new arms with updated locations and their respective distances in metric measurements. Ross-on-Wye Town Council is grateful to have the support of Herefordshire County BID towards the funding of the project, through their 2025/26 Market Town Grant.
Following the successful sale of arms removed in phase 1, those replaced in phase 2 will also be available to purchase at only £20 + VAT each. Whether this be for display in a local business or to add to a personal collection, this offers an opportunity to own a piece of the town’s history.
To enquire about available fingers, please email Ross-on-Wye Town Council at admin@rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk. Once purchased, signs will be available for collection from the Town Hall on Cantilupe Road.
