Free Half-Term Activities for Children in Ross-on-Wye

This February half-term, Ross-on-Wye is offering an action-packed week of free activities that are perfect for children and families looking to make the most of their time off school. Whether your child loves crafting, storytelling, or trying something new, there’s something for everyone!

Get ready for a week filled with fun for all ages. The best part? Free hot lunches will be available for up to 30 children on select days, making it even easier for families to join in on the fun.

The fun kicks off on Monday, February 17th, with children’s readings and a craft workshop at the library from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Featured stories include Hedgehog and the Fence by Helene Gardiner and Time for Bed, Sleepyhead! by Charlotte Taylor. A special “Make Your Own Sun” workshop with Charlotte Taylor follows at 1:15 pm.

In addition, Art Studio Ross will host arts and crafts under the Market House from 10:00 pm to 12:00 pm on Monday.

Tuesday, February 18th, brings Wildplay sessions organised by the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, giving kids a chance to connect with nature.

On Wednesday, February 19th, the Phoenix Theatre will host free film showings for families. Tickets can be reserved online here.

On Friday, February 21st, a circus skills workshop under the Market House will teach children exciting new tricks.

The fun wraps up on Sunday, February 23rd, with another arts and crafts session under the Market House from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, led by Art Studio Ross.
