Free family activities this summer at the Ropewalk

Ross-on-Wye Town Council will be hosting several free activities at the Ropewalk from 27th August – 2nd September, 10am – 4pm, which will coincide with Visit Herefordshire’s Summer of Fun.
A pop-up beach is arriving on 27th August and will be in place until 2nd September – bringing the seaside to the town. Visitors to the beach will be able to relax in one of the many deck chairs provided, play around in the sand, dig with the spades or build sandcastles.
As well as the pop-up beach, there will be various entertainment throughout the course of the week, and best of all it is all FREE! The full list of events are:
27th August – Pop-up beach and Face Painting and Balloon Modelling with Looby Lou Parties
28th August – Pop-up beach and traditional Punch and Judy Shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
29th August – Visit Herefordshire’s Summer of Fun includes archery and craft workshop
30th August – Visit Herefordshire’s Summer of Fun includes caving experience, face painting, balloon modelling and circus skills
31st August – Pop-up beach and traditional Punch and Judy Shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
1st September – Pop-up beach and circus skills workshop with Jitterbug Circus
2nd September – Pop-up beach and circus skills workshop with Jitterbug Circus
The events have been made possible from funding received from Welsh Water, Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire County Bid as part of the Ross Recovery Strategy following the flooding in the town in May.
All the activities are free to attend.
As well as the free activities the Town Council will also be providing free packed lunches from 27th – 30th August, for anyone who pre-registers via a booking form, which can be collected from the Town Council offices or email admin@rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk. This service has been made possible by funding received from the Department of Work and Pensions through Talk Community, Herefordshire Council.
