Exciting Free Family Activities This Easter Half-Term!

With just under a month until the Easter break, we’ve put together a fantastic line-up of free activities to keep the whole family entertained throughout the two-week break in April! From cinema showings to arts and crafts, there’s something for everyone. Best of all, most of these events are drop-in, so no need to book in advance (unless otherwise specified). Here’s what we have in store:

Mon 14th AprilCinema Showings at The Phoenix Theatre 
Enjoy a family-friendly film at the Phoenix Theatre with two showings throughout the day. Just make sure to book your seats online via The Phoenix Theatre website.

Tues 15th AprilHedgehog-Themed Activities at Ross Community Garden 
Join in the fun with hedgehog-inspired crafts, games, and nature walks at the beautiful Ross Community Garden.

Weds 16th AprilYoga Sessions at the Bandstand 
Stretch, breathe, and relax with two yoga sessions, perfect for families looking to unwind together at the Bandstand.

Thurs 17th AprilEaster Egg Hunt at Long Acre 
Get into the Easter spirit with a fun and festive egg hunt at Long Acre. A perfect way to spend a spring afternoon outdoors!

Saturday 19th April – Easter Market and Bunny Bake-Off Competition
Get ready to showcase your baking talent at the Easter Artisan Market on April 19th, 2025! The market will be bursting with a variety of local traders, featuring everything from freshly baked goods to hot food trailers and unique artisan accessories – the perfect place for a spring day out with family and friends.

Tues 22nd AprilQuiz Evening at the Library 
Test your knowledge with a fun quiz night at the library. Please book your space via the library’s Eventbrite page.

Weds 23rd AprilArts & Crafts at the Market House 
Let your creativity flow with a variety of arts and crafts activities suitable for all ages at the Market House.

Thurs 24th AprilBoard Game Evening at the Corn Exchange 
Enjoy a fun-filled evening of board games with friends and family at the Corn Exchange. No experience necessary—just bring your competitive spirit!

Fri 25th AprilWriting Workshop at the Library 
Get your imagination going with a creative writing workshop at the library. Don’t forget to book your place via Eventbrite.

Fri 25th AprilPuppet Shows at the Market House
Wrap up the week with two exciting puppet shows at the Market House. A perfect way to end the Easter break with a smile!
