Dementia Action Week 2023
5 April 2023

Dementia Action Week – 15-21 May – is Alzheimer’s Society’s biggest and longest running awareness campaign. Each year, they work with individuals and organisations across the UK to encourage people to ‘act on dementia’.
Ross Meeting Centre provides support and advice for carers and those experiencing dementia symptoms in Ross-on-Wye and this year, the team has pulled together a great week of events and activities to raise awareness.
All activities are free and include an Afternoon Tea on Monday 15 May from 2pm at the Ross Community Gardens on Old Gloucester Road, a Church Service at St Mary’s on Tuesday 16 May at 11am, a film screening at the Phoenix Theatre on Wednesday 17 May at 2pm of ‘Love is a Many Splendoured Thing’ and a Tea Dance on Thursday 18 May at The Larruperz Centre.
The week’s activities end with the team hosting a stall at the Ross Saturday Market on 20 May at the Market House where you can get additional information, support and advice.
