Council looks for help to light up the town this Christmas
23 September 2025

The countdown to Christmas begins with just under 10 weeks to Ross’ annual Christmas Fayre. The Fayre, organised by Ross Town Council, will once again transform Broad Street with over 80 stalls selling handmade treats and gifts and a variety of fantastic entertainment.
As is tradition, Ross-on-Wye Town Council is once again looking for someone special to help light up the town at this year’s Fayre. Do you know someone who has done a lot for the local community, or perhaps someone who deserves to have this special moment?
To nominate a local person who you feel deserves this honour, please email tourism@rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk for a link to the form or find this on the Council’s website. The form must be completed before midnight on Sunday 19th October.
Please note the person must be available on Sunday 30th November at 4.30pm and be willing to switch on the lights in front of the large crowd at the event. The person will be selected by the event’s sponsors; REHAU, Taylor Wimpey and Dawleys.
For more information about the Christmas Fayre, visit the Council’s dedicated Facebook page – www.facebook.com/rossonwyechristmasfayre/ – or keep an eye on our website.
