Ross-on-Wye Town Council
The Ross-on-Wye Town Council offices will be closed from 1pm on Monday 23rd December and will re-open on Thursday 2nd January at 9.30am. We would like to wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous Christmas and New Year.
Christmas bin collections by Herefordshire Council
Bins due to be collected on Christmas Day, Wednesday 25 December; Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December; and New Year’s Day, Wednesday 1 January have been moved.
Replacement dates are:
- Christmas Day, Wednesday 25 December will be collected on Saturday 28 December
- Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December will be collected on Sunday 29 December
- New Year’s Day, Wednesday 1 January will be collected on Saturday 4 January
All other collections remain the same during the festive period.
Please ensure bins are put out by 6.30am as collections may be earlier than usual over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Recycling centres – Herefordshire Council
All household waste and recycling centres are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. They will be open as usual throughout the rest of the festive period.

Please remember to book a slot to visit your local household waste and recycling centre to dispose of items. If you turn up without booking you will not be allowed to enter the site.

Herefordshire Council customer service centre opening times
Blueschool House will be closed for council services (Customer Services, Housing Solutions and Homepoint) on Wednesday 25 December, Thursday 26 December and Wednesday 1 January 2025.
